"The best body wash I've ever had"
ETHOSA’s shower gel scents are inspired by Aromatherapy.
What are Aromatherapy and Essential Oils?
Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils for therapeutic benefit. It has been used for centuries. When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and especially impact the amygdala, the emotional centre of the brain and generate a lot of benefits. Essential oils are basically plant extracts. They’re made by steaming or pressing various parts of a plant (flowers, bark, leaves or fruit) to capture the compounds that produce fragrance.
Scent 1 – Eucalyptus & Citrus
This scent will literally turn your bathroom into a spa. The Eucalyptus is refreshing and relaxing and promotes an overall scent of well-being while the Citrus brings some sweetness and zestiness; it’s a powerful mood booster.
Scent 2 – Cedarwood, Peppermint & Pink Hibiscus
This scent will connect you back to nature. While the Cedarwood brings a calming and grounding aroma that makes you feel like you’re on a stroll in a pine forest, the Peppermint helps relax the body and brings some freshness. The Pink Hibiscus brings a unique touch with its sweet aroma that transports you into a tropical garden.
"Loved ‘making it myself’ - the texture is exactly how you want it to be and the smell is gorgeous. Because it smells so lovely, I was a bit worried it might make my sensitive skin a bit dry or sore - but quite the opposite… even using it every day my skin is very happy! Thank you Ethosa!"

"This is such a lovely concept and product. Putting the gel together is very easy, and it’s great that it means less water is used to make it. It has essential oils, and the end product has a lovely and relaxing scent. Great product with great environmental credentials!"

"Really impressed with the shower gel. I loved the aroma, and how the product lathers on the skin. The sponge too! Wonderful texture and absorbs the shower gel so it lasts a long time while showering, I use a lot less product than expected per shower."

I bought the trial set. I love the idea. It was delivered quickly, it smells lovely. It's easy to put together (the kids did it with the help of a funnel from their science kit), it all works well and i would happily carry on except....
...1 refill sachet will do approx 45 washes (they say, not tested this myself). For a family of 4, that's about 2 weeks of showers. A sachet costs £5 each *if* you buy a pack of 10 up front. So that's over £100 for a year's supply of body wash. £100 on body wash! It's so frustrating that so many environmentally sustainable options are financially unsustainable for so many families. Hopefully they'll find a way to bring the price down in future and if they do I'll be ordering.
A good idea, but I didn't like the scent and I find that you need to use quite a lot to get a decent lather. It did make my skin feel nice and I have ordered the unscented refill and will have to wash out the bottle and try that. Unfortunately if that doesn't produce a better lather I think it will be too expensive to continue.
I was really excited when I made my first order after reading that body puffs take around 400 years to biodegrade. I thought, someone has really thought this through and with the special offer, I thought I'd take advantage and try the new type of body sponge with the bundle on offer.
The first time I used the sponge, I found it to be much too small to get a good lather and not enough to hold onto, so it kept dropping out of my hand, into the shower tray. It also has a small split in it, so I would think that it will not last very long and at a price of just under £10, this is not viable.
Secondly, I do not like the smell of the wash (the eucalyptus one, reminds me too much of a cold remedy and not of a relaxing spa).
As I say, I am really disappointed, as I was hoping that I had found the answer, a biodegradable sponge and a lovely smelling refillable body wash with no unnecessary plastics, but unfortunately, no. Back to the drawing board I think. I will be happy to try again in the future, if things change.
Not used yet, bought for a present.
Luxurious dry skin body wash it’s wonderful on my skin. My only criticism is the dispenser top it shoots out the body wash! Wish you could change it to a more directional one? But apart from that issue which is personal preference i love ❤️ it thank you.
