Giving back - What's to come in 2023?

New partnership with EVERTREEN

Sustainability is a core part of our identity. While we always work hard on making and offering the most sustainable shower products possible, we also give back as much as we possibly can to our community and to our planet. 2023 will be a year of giving back through numerous new partnerships we can't wait to tell you more about. 

Without further due, we are delighted to announce our first new partnership with EVERTREEN, an environmental conservation organisation, focusing on planting trees in areas of the world suffering from deforestation and supporting local communities to alleviate poverty. 

From now on, for every ETHOSA order over £25, 1 tree will be planted in our company forest which you can view on ABOUT ETHOSA.

Our tree-planting activity is starting in Kenya. Over 90% of the country has been deforested and the dangerous combination of logging, charcoal burning and illegal settling will only continue to accelerate forest loss.

Regarding the type of trees we're planting, we've decided to focus on mangroves for the time being.  

What are mangroves? Mangroves are tropical trees that thrive in conditions most timber could never tolerate — salty, coastal waters, and the interminable ebb and flow of the tide.

Why mangroves? With the ability to store vast amounts of carbon, mangrove forests are key weapons in the fight against climate change, but they are under threat worldwide. By protecting mangroves, we can help protect the future of our planet. (www.conservation.org)

As we plant more and more trees over the months to come, we will also look at supporting other projects such as the Amazon Rainforest.
