4 SHOWER MISTAKES TO AVOID FOR HEALTHIER SKIN

1- SPENDING TOO LONG UNDER THE SHOWER

Hot long showers tend to really strip the skin of its natural, lubricating sebum, and ultimately make it dry and itchy.

What we suggest doing -> To save your skin and water, aim to take showers that last no longer than 5 minutes and favour lukewarm water instead of very hot water.

2- CLEANSING WITH PRODUCTS THAT ARE TOO AGGRESSIVE

Another cause of dry, irritated skin is using harsh products such as bar soaps, shower gels with SLS, and other aggressive ingredients.

What we suggest doing -> Stay away from solutions with high pH & harsh ingredients, and favour pH-balanced options that respect & protect your skin. Check out our body washes for DRY, SENSITIVE & WELL-BALANCED skins. Use code STARTER25 to get 25% OFF your starter kit.

3- NOT SWITCHING OUT YOUR RAZOR BLADES OFTEN ENOUGH

Ingrown hairs and skin irritation can happen as razor blades become dull.

What we suggest doing -> For best results when shaving, it's best to change your razor blade every two to three shaves. Check out the subscription offers from FFS or Harrys.

4- FORGETTING TO MOISTURISE IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHOWERING

Showering even kept short, leads to a bit of sebum stripping, which makes skin feel dry, itchy, and tight.

What we suggest doing -> Post-shower moisturising is key and it's best to do it within 60 seconds of coming out of the shower. Prefer moisturisers with ceramides (a lipid naturally found in skin).
